ANALYTICAL EVALUATION OF THE EXPORT OF MEDICINAL PLANTS FROM UKRAINE

Certain aspects of the export of medicinal plants from Ukraine have been investigated in the 
article. Sales of medicinal plants abroad in the period from 2006 to 2020 in-kind and monetary 
worth have been analyzed. The geographical structure of export of Ukrainian medicinal plants 
and the structure of export of medicinal plants from Ukraine by species has been studied. The 
characteristic positive and negative tendencies inherent in the export of medicinal plants from 
Ukraine has been revealed and generalized. Importance of medicinal plant production for the 
national economy of Ukraine, the ability to partially meet the demand for medicinal plants in 
the world, in particular in European countries, and the factors that determine the economic 
feasibility of given production has been emphasized.
